nude for herself

"nude for herself" is a project i meant to start 3 years ago. my friend beth asked me to take nudes of her in the summer of 2008. she wanted to capture all of her tattoos and just have some nice pictures of her naked self. she modeled in my back yard on top of a summer's worth of over-grown vines. the photos were digital, and turned out lovely with all the green vines as a background.

i had a few other ladies express interest, so i decided to offer all local women the same experience of tasteful nudes.
but then i started school and got too busy.
recently another good friend asked me to take nudes of her in the forest and i remembered the old project i had wanted to start. of course, we both wanted to use my yashica medium format camera, so she paid for film and developing, with a small donation to my cause. she also gave me permission to use a test shot from our shoot for this post.

so, this is it ladies. this project is for you. it is anything you want it to be. honor your body no matter what shape, size, color or age it is. if you would like nude portraits taken (for you, for your partner or for your grandchildren), with real film, let me know. i've been shooting nature scenes for years, it's time to put some people in them!- unless you would rather be inside, i can swing that too.
i only ask that you be nude, to express you true beauty.
if it makes you feel more comfortable, i will be nude too. i love being naked and turning people into nudists!
i will also ask that you pay for the film and developing, and make any other kind of donation you are willing to.
cash is appreciated. food is respected. a massage might be nice...
if the project becomes demanding i will begin a flat rate charge for each shoot.
